Talk: Dan Tofan - Python tools for making architectural decisions

In large software development projects, how do you assess architectural decisions? There are various approaches but only a few tools. Dan Tofan will present such in interesting tool developed in Django. More here.

Talk: Rick Oost - Generalized traversals

We have another interesting talk scheduled for you. This time on traversals in Python. Rick Oost will present his haskell-inspired Python library for generalized traversals not only for datatypes other than lists, but also with the mapping and reducing aspect expressed as special cases of one operation. Talk: Niels Hageman - Distributed job scheduling

This is going to be an interesting talk by Paylogic's Niels Hageman. He has written a system to manage and reliably schedule jobs in a distributed way in a cluster of servers. It is called Sisyphus and is definitely worth checking out if cronjobs don't cut it for you anymore. Sisyphus has proven itself in Paylogic's high demanding production environment and deserves some more attention.
